What is Lou's Locker?
Lou's Locker is a nonprofit that makes accessibility simpler. We build practical guides and resources, and connect people with the tools and knowledge that support independent, everyday life, for people with disabilities, their families, and caregivers.
Our mission
Useful accessibility knowledge is scattered across forums, medical systems, product pages, and word of mouth, and the right tools are often hard to find or afford. We bring that knowledge together in one place and work to make opportunity feasible for everyone, because everyone deserves opportunity, and accessibility is what drives it.
Why "Lou's Locker"
We're named after Lou Gehrig, whose name is tied to ALS. Lou's Locker began there, close to the ALS community, and grew toward accessibility more broadly: for people with a wide range of disabilities, the people who care for them, and older adults navigating new needs. The name is a reminder of where we started and who we're for.

A growing, searchable library of practical, everyday guides, filterable by category, difficulty, cost, and condition.
Community programs
Hands-on projects like adaptive sensory kits, workshops, and support built with the people we serve, not just for them.
A student-powered mission
We learn directly from the disability community and give back in the process.
How we're organized
Lou's Locker is a Texas-incorporated 501(c)(3) nonprofit, powered by a team of Oklahoma State University students. The nonprofit holds the mission, the structure, and the resources; our student chapter is the hands-on engine that runs programs on the ground. Together, that lets us stay serious and lasting while staying close, local, and real.
